Research centred on canvas footwear construction and how soft materials catch light. References focused on fabric weave at close range, the matte finish of rubber soles, lace flexibility, and the fine detail of stitching. Both clean studio setups and casual lifestyle environments were studied to test the materials across different lighting.
The model was built to capture the structure of a stitched canvas shoe, with attention to seams, eyelets, and sole layering. Materials were tuned for accurate fabric weave, rubber sheen, and lace texture. A full clay render was used to lock form and proportion before materials were applied, confirming the construction held up before final lighting.

The model was developed with high-precision topology suitable for close-up renders. Materials were tuned for accurate reflections, micro-roughness, and depth. Lighting setups were iterated to preserve contrast while maintaining a calm, premium studio look.
