Research centred on office furniture construction and the mix of materials a task chair combines. References focused on fabric upholstery under directional light, the matte finish of moulded armrests and base, ribbed adjustment controls, and the small mechanical parts that make a chair read as functional rather than decorative.
The model was built to capture the chair's full construction, from the padded seat and back to the gas lift, base, and castors. Materials were tuned for accurate fabric weave, matte plastic, and brushed metal. A full clay render confirmed proportion, form, and lighting across the scene before any materials or textures were applied.

Assets were optimised for real-time rendering, with attention to polygon efficiency, material response, and lighting performance. Motion blur, particle effects, and reflections were calibrated to enhance realism without compromising visual stability.
